                                           Rumor

There was a Civil War captain named Robert Ellicombe and he hears a moan of a soldier near Harrison's Landing in Virginia. He goes to the moaning soldier and finds that it was a confederate soldier that had died. Then he put his lamp close to the dead soldiers face and it happend to be his son.The son was studying music and didn't tell his dad he had enlisted into the confederate army.Since his son was in the confederate army he couldn't give his son a proper funeral.he was only granted a composer to play a song.He chose a buglar. He took out of his son's pocket a piece of music and that is what know is called "Taps".Other songs were also made in the Civil War.
